<CDM>Course Description Metadata</CDM>

• cdm is an XML data format for educational data (program and course descriptions)
• cdm stands for Course Description Metadata
• CDM is expressed as a W3C XML schema document
• CDM started as a Norwegian project in 2001 (see history)
• There’s already several CDM profiles (subsets) tailoring CDM to specific needs

CDM is maintained by Utdanning.no – Norway’s national portal for education
