History of CDM

The CDM project started its life in late 2001 under the heading eSU (in Norwegian: “elektronisk Standard for Utdanningsinformasjon”).

The CDM specification was developed by USIT's XML group at the University of Oslo for the Norwegian eStandard project, Norway Opening Universities, and http://Utdanning.no.

The project has gone through two full developmental cycles.

Currently the specification is being deployed in large scale in Norway, by Utdanning.no and its partners.
